App Installers show indefinitely as in progress

Issue Description

When using App Installers to install third-party software on managed computers, the status stays in "In Progress" instead of reporting back as complete even when the app is fully installed on the computer.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Confirm what is configured in Jamf Pro under Settings > Device management > Inventory collection for Collect Unmanaged Apps.

  2. If this setting is not enabled,

    1. Click Edit.

    2. Check the box for Collect Unmanaged Apps.

    3. Click Save.
