App Not Appearing Under Managed App Section Due to App Compatibility in Jamf School

If Jamf School does not think an app is compatible with iPadOS, it will not show as an option for installation under Managed Apps in the device record for iPads.

Troubleshooting Steps

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  1. Look at the app details page on the App Store to check compatibility.

  2. Instead of scoping the app through the Managed Apps section, scope the app via a device group:

    1. In Jamf School, go to Devices > Device Groups.

    2. Select or create a device group that includes the target devices.

    3. Click Apps and then click Add.
