Notification Settings for Jamf User are Missing

Issue Description

There are not settings present for a user in Jamf Pro when they log in and click their user's silhouette icon in the upper right hand corner.

This is entirely expected for two types of users: Users that are granted access via an LDAP Group or SSO Group (and not individually defined in User Accounts and Groups). If a user is not individually defined in Jamf Pro, then the user will not have an entry in the database specific to them. This can be seen in a Jamf Pro summary when we view the Accounts, if the user is granted access via group, they do not have an entry.

For an individual user from LDAP or SSO that is defined in Jamf Pro, they will indeed have the setting available to them.


Troubleshooting Steps

If the user needs to have access to Notifications, create a standard Jamf Pro user account for the user to log into.
