Description
After connecting to a network in the Setup Assistant, devices that are in Apple Business Manager and are eligible for Auto-Enrollment will show the Remote Management screen.
If a new computer completed the Setup Assistant without seeing the Remote Management screen we'd want to follow the steps below to get it enrolled in Jamf Now.
Verifying Enrollment Prerequisites
In Jamf Now, click Auto-Enrollment to check the expiration date and for syncing errors.
If the token is expired or there is a syncing error, renew the token following the steps in the Jamf Now documentation.
Verify that the computer is listed in Jamf Now under Auto-Enrollment > View Devices.
If it is not:Log into Apple Business Manager and check to see if the device is assigned to the Jamf Now MDM server.
If it's not click, follow the steps below:Click Edit MDM Server at the top of the right pane.
Choose Assign to the Following MDM Server and select the Jamf Now MDM server from the list.
Click Continue and then click Confirm.
In Jamf Now, click Auto-Enrollment and then click View Devices.
Click Sync Devices in the upper right corner. The device should now be showing in Jamf Now.
If not wait a few minutes and then click Sync Devices again.
Enrolling the Mac in Jamf Now
If you are still in the Setup Assistant, finish setting up the Mac.
Verify that the computer is connected to the Internet and that Do Not Disturb is not enabled under System Settings > Notifications.
