Issue Description
Device is not supervised; some operations in Jamf Pro cannot be accomplished (commands, configuration profile restrictions, automatic VPP app installs).
Troubleshooting Steps
Option 1:
Enroll the device via Automated Device Enrollment and make sure we have Supervise Devices checked in the PreStage Enrollment under General.
If you don't have the device in Apple School Manager or Apple Business Manager, use the following guide: Add Devices to Apple School/Business Manager using Apple Configurator
Option 2:
Supervise the device with Apple Configurator and then enroll the device to Jamf Pro with User Initiated Enrollment. Note the supervision process will require restore the device to factory settings.

Attach your iOS device to the computer using the USB cable.
Start Apple Configurator.
In the All devices view, click the iOS device.
Click Prepare
Select Manual from the Configuration drop down
Check the box for Supervise devices and click Next
On the Enroll in MDM screen select Do Not Enroll in MDM
Generate a supervision identity when asked to do so if you haven't already.
Click Prepare once you reach the end of the dialog boxes.
The device will be prepared and reset.
