Description
Welcome to Jamf! This article expands upon the onboarding steps provided in your welcome email to guide you through creating your Jamf Pro instance.
Product Setup for Jamf Pro
Log in to Jamf Account with a Jamf ID associated with your organization. If you don't have a Jamf ID yet, create one now.
If your Jamf ID does not show the correct organization, reach out to your Account team.
If there is a banner displaying to review the SLASA, ensure the SLASA is accepted in order to continue.
Create your Jamf Pro instance following the steps in 🔗 Video: How to Create Your Jamf Pro and Jamf Protect Instance in Jamf Account.
Once your Jamf Pro instance is ready, you will see the login screen below when navigating to your Jamf Pro URL.
Note - new Jamf Pro instances may take 20-60 minutes to complete. If you are seeing a 404 message immediately after creating you may need to wait more time. If a 404 message is showing after an hour, try navigating to your Jamf Pro instance in a different browser.
The user that created the Jamf Pro instance in Jamf Account is the user that can sign in here with their Jamf ID email and password.
Once logged in you will be taken to the Jamf Pro dashboard and you are ready to start setting up Jamf Pro.
Where to Start in Jamf Pro
Now that you are logged in, be sure to complete the tasks below before setting up your management settings and enrolling devices.
Add additional users to Jamf Pro
We recommend creating at least one standard local Jamf Pro account under Settings > User Accounts and Groups that is NOT tied to a Jamf ID email.
Verify your failover URL under Settings > Single-sign on.
The failover URL provides a way for a local Jamf Pro account (not Jamf ID or identity provider credentials) to log into Jamf Pro if login via Jamf ID or SSO login is not working.
