App Removed by User/32-Bit app in Jamf School

Description

You may see apps with status of "Removed by User/32-Bit app" in Jamf School.

This photo shows what you might see displayed next to the app you are attempting to deploy.

This status can mean one or more of the following:

  • The app was removed by the user.

  • The app installation was scheduled, but the device has not received the installation command.

  • The app is a 32-bit app and the device is iOS 11 or later. Devices with iOS 11 or later do not support 32-bit apps.

Reinstalling the App

For scenarios where the end user removed the app we can click Reinstall under Actions.

To automate this process in the future we can use the Automatically reinstall apps that are removed by user functionality. For more information see, Configuring Automatic Reinstallation of Apps Behavior.
