Changing your Jamf Pro Password
There are multiple options for resetting your password depending on if you are currently able to log in to Jamf Pro or not. Follow the workflow that best meets your current scenario:
Option 1: Reset your Password from Jamf Pro 'User accounts and groups'
If you are proactively changing your Jamf Pro password and can still log in to Jamf Pro, follow the steps below:
Log in to Jamf Pro and go to Settings > User accounts and groups.
Select your user and click Edit.
Under password and verify password, type your new password.
Click Save.
Option 2: Reset via another Jamf Pro User Account
Another member of your team who can log into Jamf Pro and has privileges to read and update 'User accounts and groups' can reset it on your behalf following the steps below.
Log in to Jamf Pro and go to Settings > User accounts and groups.
Select the user who needs a password reset and click Edit.
Under password and verify password, type a temporary password that you can provide to the user.
Select Force user to change password at next login.
Click Save.
Option 3: Reach out to Jamf
If no one at your organization is able to reset your password for you and there is no password policy, please reach out to Jamf Support for assistance.
