Description
In Jamf Pro, an app that was previously added is grayed out and states "App is no longer available" despite still being in the App Store. We are no longer able to edit the app record.
If part of an app was updated (like the name) it will make it seem like it is no longer in the App Store. To resolve this, follow the steps below to delete and manually re-add the app record:
Re-adding App Records to Jamf Pro
1. Navigate to Devices > Mobile Device Apps.
2. Click on the greyed out app. Take a screenshot of the app record information and scope.
3. Select New in the upper right hand of Mobile Device Apps.
4. Choose App Store app or apps purchased in volume and select Next.
5. Search for the app in question.
6. Select the Add button to the right of the app.
7. Once the app record is created, select the Managed Distribution tab and check the box to Assign Content Purchased in Volume.
8. Re-Scope to the devices that need the app and click Save.
9. Delete the original app record.
