Some iOS apps can be deployed to Apple Silicon Macs. This article outlines the steps needed to deploy these apps with Jamf Pro.
Note - This workflow does not apply to all iOS apps. The app must be listed as a Universal app or have the functionality enabled by the developer.
Deploying iOS Apps to Macs
Follow the steps below to deploy iOS apps that are available for Macs using Jamf Pro.
In Jamf Pro, add the iOS app record under Devices > Mobile Device Apps. This is needed to easily get the values for the record for macOS.
go to Computers > Mac Apps and click New.
Select Mac Store Apps and click Next.
Select Enter Manually in the lower right.
Enter a Display Name for the app.
Complete the short version, bundle identifier, app URL. This information can be found from the iOS app record.
Choose your distribution method for the app: Make available in Self Service or Install automatically.
Click Scope and add a test computer to the scope.
Click Save.
