Jamf Teacher returns "an error has occurred. contact your school’s IT Department for further support" upon launch or when navigating through Jamf Teacher.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Confirm App Config:

    • The Jamf Teacher application relies on a managed app config to integrate with Jamf Pro's API. Ensure we've configured the app config found under Configuring and Distributing the Jamf Teacher App in the following article: Jamf Teacher Integration with Jamf Pro

  2. Relaunch Jamf Teacher:

    • If Jamf Teacher launched with a misconfigured or incorrect app config, completely closing and relaunching the app can resolve the issue and allow end users to access Jamf Teacher again.

  3. Uninstall and reinstall Jamf Teacher:

    • To refresh the app configuration for Jamf Teacher and confirm the application is using the most up to date app configuration, uninstall and reinstall the application.

  4. Confirm Action is Allowed:
