Integrating with an SMTP server allows you to do the following:
Send email notifications to Jamf Pro users when certain events occur.
Send user-initiated enrollment invitations via email.
Send mass emails to end users.

Configuring Email Notifications for Your Users
Once the SMTP server settings are configured and tested emails notifications can be configured for users, using the following workflow:
In Jamf Pro navigate to Account Settings (person icon top right corner) > Notifications.
The checkboxes under the Email column represent the options that can be configured for the logged-in user to receive emails from Jamf Pro.
To verify the email in use with a certain user in Jamf Pro, navigate to Settings > System > User accounts and groups and select the user in question. View the email field to confirm the email associated with the user in question.
