Description
In the iOS Setup Assistant users are prompted to select how to setup the phone either Quick Start or Manually. Devices enrolling via Auto-enrollment in Jamf Now must use the Set Up Manually option. If the Quick Start option is chosen, you will see "Profile installation failed. The profile ... must be installed interactively."
Enrolling Devices after Profile Installation Failed
The device will need to go through the Setup Assistant again to re-attempt enrollment into Jamf Now using the Set Up Manually option.
To return to the beginning of the Setup Assistant restore the mobile device.
Once the device is at the Hello screen again, proceed through the Setup Assistant to enroll via Auto-enrollment. At the Quick Start screen, select Set Up Manually.
Continue through the rest of the Setup Assistant to complete enrollment.
