Description
It is necessary to update Terms & Conditions in Apple Business after Apple updates a Software License Agreement in order for Jamf Now enrollment functionality to remain unaffected. For more information on Terms & Conditions, please see Apple's documentation.
Jamf Now will take about an hour to receive valid communication with Apple Business after the Terms & Conditions are accepted. No further actions are needed beyond waiting for a successful Automated Device Enrollment sync with Apple.
Accepting Terms & Conditions in Apple Business
Log into Apple Business with an administrator account to accept the updated Terms & Conditions. There should be a prompt that appears post login:
Wait for Jamf Now to receive a valid Auto-Enrollment responses from Apple Business. Once this response is received, Jamf Now should no longer display the 'You must approve updated Terms and Conditions in Apple Business Manager' message under Auto-Enrollment.
Historically this has taken around 1 hour, but time may vary with each release and it could take up to 24 hours.
'You must approve updated Terms and Conditions' Message Still Showing in Jamf Now
If after 24 hours, Jamf Now still shows the 'You must approve updated Terms and Conditions in Apple Business Manager', follow the steps in Resolving Automated Device Enrollment Server Token Errors to renew the Auto-Enrollment token to re-establish Auto-Enrollment communication with Apple Business.
If the issue persists post renewal, follow the steps below to confirm the new Terms and Conditions were accepted.
Log in to Apple Business with an Apple Account that has access to Legal Terms under Settings in Apple Business.
Click your organization name in the upper-right corner and select Settings.
Select Legal Terms from the left menu.
The Software License Agreements are displayed including version number, who agreed, and when.
If needed, contact Apple Business Support for your region to report your Terms & Conditions are not showing as accepted.
