"HTTP 400 Bad Request (SUPPORT_PHONE_INVALID)" during Jamf Now Auto-enrollment token upload

Description

During the Auto-enrollment token upload process, Jamf Now generates and provides an Auto-enrollment profile to Apple. This profile includes Apple Business information, including the phone number associated with your Apple Business account. If the phone number is invalid, Apple will reject the profile, and the Auto-enrollment token upload process will partially fail.

The Auto-enrollment tab in Jamf Now will show a green check mark indicating that it is connected, but communication between Jamf Now and Apple Business will not work as expected. Devices will not appear under the Auto-Enrollment > View Devices tab until the Auto-enrollment token upload process is fully complete.

Updating Phone Information in Apple Business

Follow the steps below to update the phone number in Apple Business to a valid phone number that Apple will accept:

  1. Log into Apple Business at https://business.apple.com/.

  2. Click Your Organization Name in the upper-right corner and select Settings.

  3. Click Organization and locate the phone number associated with the Apple Business account under Address.

  4. You maybe able to edit it directly there or contact Apple support to update the phone number using the local AppleCare Enrollment Support number found in Get Support for Apple Business.

  5. Once the phone number is updated, renew the Auto-enrollment token connected to Jamf Now to provide Apple with a valid Auto-enrollment profile following the steps in Renewing an Automated Device Enrollment Server Token.
