Accepting Apple's Terms and Conditions within Apple School Manager for Jamf School

Description

It is necessary to update Terms and Conditions in Apple School Manager after Apple updates a Software License Agreement in order for Jamf School enrollment functionality to remain unaffected. For more information on Terms and Conditions, please see Apple's documentation.

It may take up to twenty-four hours for Jamf School to receive valid communication with Apple School Manager after the Terms and Conditions are accepted. No further actions are needed beyond waiting for a successful Automated Device Enrollment sync with Apple.

Accepting Terms and Conditions in Apple School Manager

  1. Log into Apple School Manager with an administrator account to accept the updated Terms and Conditions. There should be a prompt similar to the one below that appears post login:

  2. Give up to a day for Jamf School to receive a valid Auto-Enrollment response from Apple School Manager. Once this response is received, Jamf School will be able to sync with Apple School Manager again for device enrollment.


'You must approve updated Terms and Conditions' Message Still Showing after Accepting

​If after twenty-four hours, Jamf School still shows the 'You must approve updated Terms and Conditions in Apple Business Manager', follow the steps in Renew the Automated Device Enrollment Token in Jamf School to re-establish Automated Device Enrollment communication with Apple School Manager.

If the issue persists post renewal, follow the steps below to confirm Terms and Conditions was accepted.

  1. Log into Apple School Manager.

  2. Click the user logged in the lower-right corner and select Preferences.

  3. Click Organization Settings and verify the Last Updated time under Terms and Conditions.

There are no new Terms & Conditions in Apple School Manager

If you've verified the are no pending Terms & Conditions to accept in Apple School Manager, the banner may be a false alarm.
