Scan QR Codes while Restricting Apps with Jamf Pro

Issue Description

When viewing QR code with camera, no "pop" appears to go to associated Safari page.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. In Jamf Pro, edit the configuration profile that contains the app safelist.

  2. In the App name section, enter com.apple.barcodesupport.qrcode.

  3. Click the blue plus in the drop down.

  4. In the Bundle ID section enter com.apple.barcodesupport.qrcode.

  5. Save the profile and ensure its redistribution to affected devices.

  6. Restart the devices after the profile installs for the QR code to generate a "pop" to a web page.
