Issue Description
App purchased from Apple School Manager does not appear in Jamf School.
Troubleshooting Steps
Ensure that Volume Purchasing has been setup in Jamf School. Check for a token in Jamf School under Organization > Settings > Content (Volume Purchasing).
Check that there are no warnings on that token, indicating an expired token or possibly that it is in use by a separate MDM server.
If expired or a sync issue, renew the Volume Purchasing Program token
If in use by a separate MDM Server (or Apple Configurator), click Reclaim ownership to take ownership of the token again and remove the token from the other source.
Sync Jamf School with Apple School Manager.
In Jamf School go to Apps > Inventory.
Click Sync with Apple School Manager in the upper-right corner
If the application still does not appear at all, check the Apps > Trash section.
If the app appears in the trash, move the app back to the instance by selecting the App > Put Back.
If none of the above solve the issue, ensure that the app is assigned to the correct location in Apple School Manager and that the licenses show as available. If they are not yet processed by Apple, they will not sync into Jamf School.
In Apple School Manager go to Apps and Books.
Use the search to find and select the app in question.
On the right panel, scroll down and it should show which location the app is assigned to and number of licenses available.
In Jamf School under Organization > Settings > Content (Volume Purchasing) > under the email listed, there is a field indicating what location is synced to Jamf School. This location name has to match the one the app is assigned to.
If assigned to a different location, either get more licenses or re-assign some licenses to the necessary Jamf School token.
Note - If a previously added app is missing, ensure the application is still available for Volume Purchasing Program as the developer may have taken the app out of Volume Purchasing Program.
