Description
Every device enrolled in Jamf School must have a license assigned to it for the device to be managed. Jamf School offers a variety of license types: Calendar Year, Academic Year, Full Year, and Lifetime (also called Perpetual). For more information on each license type, see Device License Purchases in the Jamf School Documentation.
You will see a License Overuse message in Jamf School if you do not have enough valid licenses for your enrolled devices. Your organization has 14 days to remove devices from Jamf School or purchase additional licenses in order to clear the License Overuse message; after the 14-day grace period ends, Jamf School will be locked but devices retain their management settings. Please reach out to your Account team to regain access to Jamf School.
