Description
The option to have the MDM profile be removable or non-removable depends on how a device is initially enrolled and if using Automated Device Enrollment, what is configured in the PreStage enrollment.
Removing Non-removable MDM Profiles
Non-removable MDM profiles on devices can only be removed:
With the Remove MDM Profile command in the device record in Jamf Pro.
The device must have functioning MDM communication to receive the command and remove the profile.
By wiping the device.
If the Remove MDM Profile command is not possible or the device record is not accessible in Jamf Pro, we will need to wipe the device.
Verify that the device is assigned to your Jamf Pro server in Apple Business or Apple School Manager and scoped to the correct PreStage group in order to re-enroll using Automated Device Enrollment.
