Associate your Jamf ID with your Organization in Jamf Account

Updated over a week ago

Description

Jamf ID is a set of credentials you can use with Jamf resources. You can associate an existing Jamf ID with your organization in order to access assets, subscription information, organization training pass information, etc. or you can be invited by your organization to create a new Jamf ID.

Specific access in Jamf Account depends on the Jamf Account role assigned. New Jamf IDs added to an organization will have no access to company resources unless a default role has been configured in Jamf Account under Organization > Settings.

Joining Your Organization

There are 3 ways your Jamf ID can be associated with your organization:

Option 1: Self-Join

If your organization has Jamf Pro, you can self-join your organization in Jamf Account.

  1. Log into Jamf Account and select Profile in the left sidebar.

  2. Click the Organization tab.

  3. Click Change next to "No Organization Assigned" and select I own Jamf Pro and know my Activation Code.

  4. Enter in the Activation Code and the Billing Postal Code.

  5. Click Verify.

Option 2: Joining by Invite

If your organization does not have Jamf Pro, you don't know your Activation Code or Billing Postal Code, or the self-join does not succeed, one of your team members with access to the Organization tab in Jamf Account can send you an invite to join the organization. Once invited, you’ll receive an email with a link to either create a new Jamf ID using the invited email address or log in with your existing Jamf ID to accept the invitation.

Option 3: Jamf Account Team

You can reach out to your Account team at Jamf to assist with associating a Jamf ID with an organization or assigning the Administrator role in Jamf Account. This role provides edit access to the Solutions and Organization tab, allowing users to manage SSO settings, contacts/users, and products.

To find the information for your Account team please see Getting Assistance from your Jamf Account Team.

Note - you may need to request one of your team mates grab this information if your Jamf ID is not currently associated with your organization.
