Description
If the Bundle ID of a web clip is needed, com.apple.webapp can be used. The only downside of using this Bundle ID is that it does not target a specific web clip. It is possible to get the Bundle ID for a specific web clip which is generated during the creation of the configuration profile and is defined in the PayloadUUID field.
Finding the Bundle ID for Specific Web Clip
Follow the steps below to gather the specific Bundle ID of a web clip.
Download the web clip configuration profile from Jamf Pro.
Unsign the profile and find the
PayloadUUID.
The specific Bundle ID takes the form
com.apple.webapp.<PayloadUUID>.Using the example above, the resulting Bundle ID would be:
com.apple.webapp.E11C955D-8C0A-46B9-89D1-C01681A7BEBC.
