Logging out users to update Shared iPads

Description

Updates to iOS and apps on Shared iPads can only be initiated by the Jamf School Management system. It is important to make sure students are logged out and the iPad is connected to the network or else the updates will not go through.

Ensuring Users are Logged Out Before Updating

End users can manually logout of the devices or we can utilize Jamf School to send out a command to log users out following the steps below:

  1. In Jamf School go to Devices > Inventory.

  2. Check the box for the device(s) we want to take action on.

  3. Click More in the upper-right corner and select Log-Off User.
