"jamf-auth We are sorry, an error occurred" message when logging in to Jamf Account

This article provides steps for successfully logging in to Jamf Account if presented with a jamf-auth screen when signing in with Jamf ID.

Description

If you've tried to sign in to Jamf Account with your Jamf ID too many times within a period of time, you may be presented with a message saying "jamf-auth, We are sorry, an error occurred. Please retry after a few minutes."

This image shows the error you may see if your IP address gets flagged due to too many login attempts.

In this scenario, your Jamf ID email should have received a message about your account being locked. Use the link to unlock it in order to attempt log in again.

Unlocking your Jamf ID

  1. In your Jamf ID email, look for a message from communication@jamf.com with the subject Jamf ID Locked.

  2. In the email, click the click here link.

  3. You will see Account Unblocked confirming it was successful.

  4. You can now resume logging in to Jamf Account with your Jamf ID.
