Description
Devices can only have one profile with the lock screen message at a time. If a profile is already on a device, additional profiles with this setting will fail to install and present the error message: "The payload 'Lockscreen' could not be installed. / A Shared Device Configuration payload is already installed."
Applying Desired Lock Screen Message
To resolve this issue, ensure that only one profile is applying lock screen message settings is scoped to managed devices following the steps below.
Identify profiles that are applying lock screen message settings.
Look under Managed Profiles in the device record for the list of profiles you will need to examine under Profiles > Overview for the lock screen settings.
Remove the lock screen message settings from additional profiles so it is only included on one profile.
Verify that the desired lock screen profile is now installing successfully on all devices.
