In Jamf Pro, the app is configured to automatically open after updating. This causes errors and other issues to occur on end-user devices.

Troubleshooting Steps

Navigate in Jamf Pro to Computers > Mac Apps > Jamf App Catalog > select the affected JetBrains Intellij IDEA Ultimate app record > select the End user experience tab > click Edit > select Custom under the Automatically open app after update section > ensure the Open app checkbox is unselected > click Save.
