Disable MAC Address Randomization in Jamf School

Updated over 10 months ago

Description

MAC address randomization is enabled by default on iOS and macOS devices, which can cause issues with network authentication and tracking. To ensure a consistent MAC address for network connectivity, you can disable this feature using a profile in Jamf School.

Disabling MAC Address Randomization with a Profile

  1. Navigate to Profiles > Overview in Jamf School.

  2. Select an existing Wi-Fi profile or click + Create Profile to create a new one.

  3. In the Wi-Fi Payload, check the box for "Disable MAC Randomization".

  4. Click Save to apply the changes.

  5. Click Scope, adjust scope as needed, and click Save.
