Description
AirPrint is an Apple technology that helps you create full-quality printed output without the need to download or install drivers. This article will provide information on creating a profile in Jamf School to configure AirPrint for managed devices.
Configuring AirPrint in Jamf School
Confirm your printer supports AirPrint.
List of available printers from Apple: List of AirPrint printers.
Connect your AirPrint printer to a Wi-Fi network following your printer's instructions or see Connect an AirPrint printer to a Wi-Fi network.
Create a profile in Jamf School with the AirPrint payload following the steps below:
Go to Profiles > Overview and click + Create Profile.
Select the desired OS type, choose Device Enrollment, then click Next.
Give the profile a name, click Next, and then click Finish.
Choose the AirPrint payload and click Configure.
Enter in IP-Address, Port, and Resource Path for the Printer.

If desired, check the box to force Transport Layer Security (TLS). Note: 'Port' and 'Force TLS' are available only in iOS 11.0 and later
If configuring multiple printers, click Add AirPrint pinter.
After all AirPrinters are added, click Save.
Click Scope, click the + button to add desired device groups to the scope of the profile, and then click Save.
Once the profile has installed, test using AirPrint on devices.
