Downloading In-House Apps That Were Uploaded to JCDS 2

If they determine they are using JCDS, they can grab download links via the API.

  1. So if their hosted instance name is jamfpro they would go to this URL: https://jamfproinstancenamehere.jamfcloud.com/api/doc/#/jamf-content-distribution-server/get_v1_jcds_files

  2. Scroll up to the top of the page to enter credentials to get an authorization token and then scroll back down to where the page loaded to click Try it out and then click Execute to get a list of packages.

  3. Find the package you want a copy of (for example MySuperAwesomeApp.ipa), scroll to find https://jamfpro.jamfcloud.com/api/doc/#/jamf-content-distribution-server/get_v1_jcds_files__fileName_

  4. Click Try it out, enter MySuperAwesomeApp.ipa (or whatever the filename they want to get) in the text input box, and click Execute. Th9is will generate a download URL that's valid for 24 hours.
