Mobile Device App Record Accidentally Deleted from Jamf Pro

Issue Description

What do we do when a Mobile Device App record is accidentally deleted but we still need the record?

Troubleshooting Steps

Recreate the app record in Jamf Pro by following the steps below:

  1. Go to Devices > Device apps and click +New.

  2. Search for the app and click Add.

  3. In the new app record (click Edit if needed) ensure the settings match what was enabled in the deleted app record.

    For example:

    1. Set the Distribution method to the desired option.

    2. Ensure Assign Content Purchased in Volume is enabled under the Managed Distribution tab.

    3. Set the Scope the application to the devices we want it installed on.
