Introduction
There are two types of Apple Accounts that can be used on devices:
Managed Apple Accounts:
Are owned and managed by your organization—including password resets and role-based administration. Apple Business Manager makes it easy for organizations to create and manage these accounts at scale.
It provides access to iCloud for collaboration with iWork and backup on iPhone and iPad devices.
Because Managed Apple Accounts are owned by the organization, certain features are disabled.
Personal Apple Accounts: are used to access personal data such as Photos, iMessages, and other personal iCloud data when signed in to a personal device.

iCloud Family Sharing
iCloud Mail
iCloud + services
App Store and Managed Apple Accounts
When a Managed Apple Account is signed into a device, users can browse paid or free apps and content in the stores listed below; however, Apps and books cannot be purchased.
App Store
iTunes Store
Apple Books
This results in the Get button being greyed out when viewing an app in the App Store when signed in with a Managed Apple Account.
Installing Apps on Devices with Managed Apple Accounts
If a Jamf Now managed device user needs access to certain apps, instead of having the user manually download the app from the App Store, instead you can deploy the app using Jamf Now:
