Why do I need to make a local administrator account in Jamf Pro?
Answer
In order to enroll computers, a local administrator account must be specified in Jamf Pro under Settings > Global > User initiated enrollment > macOS; however, it is optional whether or not this account is created on computers when they enroll. The account only needed for specific workflows, which are listed on https://learn.jamf.com/bundle/jamf-pro-documentation-current/page/Management_Accounts.html.
This account is separate from other local accounts created by Jamf Pro policy or a local administrator account created from the Account Settings of the PreStage enrollment. Ensure the username of the Management Account is different from any other accounts being created on the computer. The Jamf Pro Management Account is not intended to be logged into or used for administering computers.
