Description
This article provides steps to renew the Automated Device Enrollment (ADE) token in Jamf School. This step should be taken if your token is expired or is expiring soon.
Renewing the Automated Device Enrollment Token with the Public Key
In Jamf School, navigate to Organization > Settings and select Automated Device Enrollment.
Click the + button (like you are going to setup a new Automated Device Enrollment Token).
Click Download your public key.
Log in to Apple School Manager.
In the sidebar, click on the username in the lower-left corner and choose Preferences from the resulting menu.
Ensure that the resulting page has a 'Your MDM Servers' section. If the 'Your MDM Servers' section is missing, ensure the Apple ID used to log in has appropriate permissions.
Select the MDM Server that we would like to renew.
Click Edit on the top-left corner of the right side of the page.
Under MDM Server Settings, click Replace Certificate.
Choose the .pem file we downloaded previously.
Click Save.
Click Download Token located at the top of the page.
A warning will appear: "After downloading a new server token, you will need to upload it to your MDM server."
Acknowledge the warning by clicking Download Token.
Back in Jamf School, click the Edit button in the top-left corner of your existing Automated Device Enrollment Token.
Upload the server token downloaded from Apple School Manager and click Apply.
