Description
If Jamf Connect is showing as a TRIAL version on managed computers after updating the Jamf Connect license file, you may have the old license key still installed on managed computers.
For Jamf Connect to show as fully licensed, all Jamf Connect configuration profiles containing the license key must be updated with the new license information.
Note - In this article, Jamf Connect refers to settings configured with the com.jamf.connect preference domain. It can apply to Jamf Connect versions 2.x as well as Self Service+ menu bar and/or Self Service+ Account management dashboard.
Removing Old License File Data from Jamf Pro Configuration Profiles
Check the profiles installed on managed computers to confirm the old key is not included.
Look on the device manually under System Settings. Search for Profiles and then look through the profiles list for Jamf Connect profiles.
Look at the inventory record under Profiles for the profiles installed on the computer.
Go through the profiles in System Settings or in Jamf Pro and search for the license file key.
If the key exists in multiple profiles - we recommend removing it so it is only in one profile with no other settings. This eliminates having to update multiple profiles yearly.
