Sysdiagnose Logs for iOS Devices

Description

In order to troubleshoot some device issues, Support may request you collect a sysdiagnose log. You can use the steps below to generate a sysdiagnose on iOS or iPadOS devices using AssistiveTouch.

Gathering Sysdiagnose Logs on iPhones & iPads

  1. Replicate the issue so that it is logged. Please note the time.

  2. On the device, go to Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch.

  3. Toggle AssistiveTouch to On.

  4. Under Custom Actions > Single Tap, select Analytics.

  5. Use the Assistive Touch button that will appear on the screen once AssistiveTouch is enabled to trigger the sysdiagnose. Allow ~5 minutes to complete.

  6. From Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements > Analytics Data, scroll to the bottom and select the sysdiagnose file created.

  7. Click the share button to Airdrop to a computer so you can send to Jamf.

  8. Turn off AssistiveTouch under Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch.
