Description
Sometimes it can be difficult to locate newly enrolled devices under the Devices tab in Jamf Now. This article goes over the different items to check when attempting to locate the device.
Locating Your Devices
If the device is not immediately appearing under the Devices tab in Jamf Now, we recommend:
Confirm that the device has a Jamf Now enrollment/MDM profile installed. If there is no enrollment profile on the device, it will need to be enrolled to show under the Devices tab. See the Jamf Now Documentation for Enrollment options.
iOS/iPadOS: Settings > General > VPN & Device Management
macOS 13 and 14: System Settings > Privacy and Security > Profiles
macOS 15 and later: System Settings > General > Device Management
Ensure there are no filters enabled in Jamf Now. If there is a filter enabled, Jamf Now will display the Showing X out of X devices - Clear Filter text at the top of the Devices tab.
Click the Clear Filter button if there is an enabled filter and attempt to locate the device from there.
Use the Search Devices box to search for the device's serial number. To locate the serial number on the device:
Under Settings > General > About on iOS/iPadOS
Under System Settings > General > About on macOS
