Issue Description
Attempts to connect to computers using Apple Remote Desktop (ARD) fail, even though the devices are reachable through ping in Terminal. The connection may fail due to the Firewall being enabled on the target device or because Remote Desktop access has not been correctly enabled through the MDM.
Troubleshooting Steps
In Jamf School, send the Enable Remote Desktop MDM command to the target computers.
On the target computer, go to System Settings > Sharing > Remote Management > click the i button.
Check for any errors related to the Firewall.
If the Firewall is blocking access, disable the Firewall, restart the device, and then retry the ARD connection.
This process ensures that Remote Desktop access is enabled and that the Firewall is not interfering with ARD connections.
