Description

Composer is an application for macOS that allows administrators to easily create packages and dmgs.

Installing Composer on Your Device

You can get Composer from Jamf Account either under Solutions > Add-ons or from the Jamf Pro Apps download depending on what version you need.

Use the steps below to download the most recent version of the Composer.dmg.

Log in to Jamf Account with a user tied to an organization that has a Jamf Pro subscription.
Click Solutions in the left sidebar and go to the Add-Ons tab.
Click Download for Composer.
Open the dmg and move Composer to the desired location on your computer.
Composer is now available for use.

Note the Composer version dropdown here will be greyed out. Follow the steps below if you need to select a specific version.

If you need to install a specific version of Composer, follow the steps below.

Log in to Jamf Account with a user tied to an organization that has a Jamf Pro subscription.
Click Solutions in the left sidebar.
Select View details for Jamf Pro.
Click the Download tab.
Select the desired Jamf Pro version from the dropdown box.
Click Download for Jamf Pro Apps.
Open the DMG and move the Jamf Pro application to the Applications folder. Composer will show under Jamf Pro in your Applications folder.
