The package could not be verified when deployed from Jamf Pro

Issue Description

If the following error occurs "The package could not be verified" in a policy log or jamf.log, this issue could be resolved by removing that package from the distribution point and re-uploading it.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Removing the package from the distribution point.

    1. In Jamf Pro navigate to Settings > Computer management > Packages > [Name of the affected package].

    2. Select the Delete button in the lower right hand corner of the screen.

    3. A prompt to confirm deletion of the package will be presented.

  2. Upload that same package to distribution point.

    1. In Jamf Pro navigate to Settings > Computer management > Packages > New.

    2. Select the Choose File button under Filename section of the page.

    3. Navigate to the package that was originally deleted in step 1 followed by the Open button.

    4. Select the Save button.

  3. Attach the package back the policy or create a new policy to install the package.
