Updated this week

Issue Description

If the following error occurs "The package could not be verified" in a policy log or jamf.log, this issue could be resolved by removing that package from the distribution point and re-uploading it.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Removing the package from the distribution point.

    1. In Jamf Pro navigate to Settings > Computer management > Packages > [Name of the affected package].

    2. Select the Delete button in the lower right hand corner of the screen.

    3. A prompt to confirm deletion of the package will be presented.

  2. Upload that same package to distribution point.

    1. In Jamf Pro, go to Settings > Computer management > Packages.

    2. Click New.

    3. Click Browse for file under Filename and select the package that was originally deleted in step 1.

    4. Select the Save button.

  3. Attach the package back the policy or create a new policy to install the package.
