Description
As stated in the Jamf Connect General Requirements, user-level authentication to an 802.1x network (such as EAP-PEAP and EAP-TTLS) is not supported at the macOS login window with Jamf Connect.
You can use certificate based authentication at the login window for macOS. Note is only recommended for computers that are 1-1 with users, not shared.
Configuring Certificate Based Authentication with Jamf Pro
Ensure Computers have the correct assigned user in Jamf Pro.
This can be accomplished by requiring authentication during enrollment.
Build a network configuration profile following the steps in the Enabling Users to Authenticate Using a Certificate workflow from the Implementing 802.1x Authentication Technical Paper.
Modify the profile to send $USERNAME under "Username for connection to the network"
