Issue Description
Device has been updated to the latest OS version available however in Jamf School the device still reports that version as available to update/install. For example, the device is running on macOS 14 but the updates tab still shows macOS 14 as an available version.
The OS Updates tab is updated accordingly to the device inventory which gets updated based on a device check in.
Troubleshooting Steps
Here's a few things to try out:
Ensure the device has checked in recently. This information can be found in the device details section of the inventory record in Jamf School.
To open the inventory record, go to Devices > Devices (or Devices > Inventory) and select the device in question.
Sometimes the device could have checked in but it is in a NotNow state which can prevent a correct inventory report as well. View the device activity logs and ensure there are no commands with NotNow listed.
For an update on the Updates section for the device.
In the device inventory, select Updates and click Check now.
Restart the device.
