Restore Deleted Device or Computer Record from Jamf Pro

Issue Description

Mobile device or computer inventory record was deleted from Jamf Pro before the MDM profile was removed and MDM profile is non-removable.

Troubleshooting Steps

If the end goal is to regenerate the record in Jamf Pro, the mobile device or computer must be re-enrolled. If the MDM profile is non-removable, the device will need to be wiped first and then can re-enroll in the Setup Assistant.

  1. Erasing the device.

  2. To re-enroll:

    1. Ensure the device is assigned to a PreStage Enrollment in Jamf Pro.

    2. Go through the Setup Assistant again to re-enroll.
