Reports for Internet Content Filtering and Usage Controls (formerly Data Policy)

Description

The following reports are available for Data Usage in Jamf Security Cloud (formerly RADAR):

  • Data Management

    • Usage - total data usage and distribution across users

    • Sites and Apps - data usage and the number of transactions blocked by categories, users and sites in one view

    • Roaming - data usage by country/region

    • Tethering - number of tethering sessions detected per users and amount of non-web data detected

    • Caps - indicates users that hit their cap within the indicated time period

  • Acceptable Use

    • Blocks - blocks triggered by users

    • Categories - shows data within categories per content filtering classifications

Viewing Data Usage Reports

To view the Data Usage reports:

  1. In Jamf Security Cloud click Reports.

  2. Click Internet and choose the report type you want: Usage, Sites and Apps, Blocks, Categories, Roaming, Tethering, or Caps.

  3. Set the desired filter and click Apply.

    1. Reports can be filtered by a number of different parameters, such as by date or group of users. See Creating a Report Filter for more information.

  4. To export the report to a CSV file, click the button in the upper-right corner of the table.

    1. After the export has been generated, the new report is displayed under the Reports exports download button in the top-right corner.
